Hariyali Chicken is a popular Punjabi chicken recipe. Marinating the fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves, and green chiles with chicken will give a rich taste to the recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Kg Chicken pieces with bone
  • 1/2 cup Corriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup Mint leaves
  • 6 nos green chili ( add or reduce to your spice level)
  • 10 nos small onions
  • 1/2 cup curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger - Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp gram masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • First, clean the chicken twice with water. then, marinate it with Ginger Garlic paste, turmeric powder, curd, and salt to taste for about 30 minutes.
  • In the blender, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, curry leaves, small onions, green chilies, and cashews, Grind well into a smooth Green paste by adding little water.
  • Add the green paste to the marinated chicken. Mix well and marinate it again for about 30 min to 1 hour.
  • Heat a pan, and add 2 tbsp of cooking oil. once the oil gets heated up, add the marinated chicken pieces. mix and cook well for 5 min on high flame. Then, cook again for 10 min on medium flame.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, Garam masala, pepper powder, and salt to taste. mix well. cover with lid and cook for 5 min on low flame
  • Once the oil comes out, turn off the flame and serve it with roti, pulao, and biriyani. yummy, flavourful Hariyali chicken is ready !!!
