- 200 grams green peas /Matar
- 2 nos potato (skin peeled)
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 cup coconut pieces
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds & urad dal
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 2 no cloves
- 2 no cardamom
- 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
- 3 no Green chilies
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 no small size tomato
- 2 sprig curry leaves
- salt to taste
Preparation
Cook the peeled potato slices and green peas in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles. Once the pressure is released, strain the excess water and keep it aside.
Add coconut pieces, fennel seeds, and water to the blender and blend well
Method :
Heat a pan on medium flame to add coconut oil. Once the oil gets heated up, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, crushed ginger & garlic or ginger- garlic paste, green chiles, and curry leaves, and mix well. Then, add the chopped onions and saute well until it turns glossy. Then, add the cooked peas and potato with salt to taste. mix well. Add the chopped tomato and cook well for 2-3 min.
Now, add the coconut milk and check for salt. Cook for about 2-3 mins on Low flame.
