Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams paneer cubes
  • 200 grams Green peas /Matar
  • 1 no chopped onion (Big Size)
  • 1 no Onion Cube cut (small Size)
  • 1 no tomato ( big size)
  • coriander leaves
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 nos cloves
  • 1 no cardamom
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 7 nos cashews
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala => check for Recipe INDIAN GARAM MASALA HOMEMADE
  • 5 tsp cooking oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation :

  • Take 250 grams of paneer and 200 grams of matar / Green peas. Keep it aside.
    Heat a pan, add 1 tsp of oil, and 1 small size onion cube, and saute well until it turns glossy. keep it aside.
    In the same pan, add 1 tsp of oil, and the paneer cubes, and saute well until the color changes. keep it aside.

Masala Preparation :

  • Heat a pan, add oil , 1 inch of cinnamon stick, 2 nos of cloves, 1 no of cardamom, and 1 tsp of cumin seeds. then, add 1 no of big chopped onion, and 6 no's of cashews. saute well until the onion becomes glossy.
  • Now, add 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 2 tsp of Kashmiri chili powder, and 1/8 tsp of turmeric powder. Mix and cook for 1 min.
  • Add the 1 big size chopped tomato and mix well. Then, add 1/4 cup of water mix and cook well until the tomatoes get mushy. Now, add the 1/2 hand of fresh coriander stems, Mix well.
    Add the masala mixture to the blender. Blend well into a fine paste and keep it aside. This is the Base Masala for Matar Paneer Recipe.

Method:

  • In a pan, add 2 tsp of oil, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, and 1 tsp of Kashmiri chili powder. Mix well and add the Base masala paste. cook well for about 5-7 minutes, until the bubble forms.
  • Add the 200 grams of matar/ Peas and mix well. add 1 cup of water and allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
  • Now, add the sauteed onions cubes and paneer, give a mix, and allow it to cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Once the oil gets separated from the gravy, give a mix and garnish it with the chopped coriander leaves.
  • For garnishing, grate 2 pieces of paneer cube on the top and. serve it hot with Roti or Chapathi or Parata or Wheat dosa or plain ghee rice or Coconut milk rice.
  • Yummy Matar Paneer Recipe is ready in the restaurant-style.  Serve it with roti, Paratha, Chapathi, Naan.
